Yurina: Across Five Years of Smoke

The footage was recorded across several years, capturing Yurina at different moments in her life — both younger and more mature. Some scenes were shot in the height of summer, others in winter, adding contrast in mood and atmosphere.

Scene 1 – Two Cigarettes in the Dark

The model sits on a sofa in a dark room. Backlight from behind makes the smoke visible as she exhales, flirting with the camera as she playfully blows the smoke toward the lens, taking open-mouthed inhales.
The wide-angle shot catches the movement of her chest with each deep, craving inhale, visible beneath the summer dress.

As she smokes two cigarettes, the only sounds are the burning of the cigarette, the crackle of the embers, the “pop” of her lips on the filter, and the depth of her almost desperate breathing.

Scene 2 – The Mirror Interview

This scene takes place in a dimly lit cocktail bar. Yurina is reflected in a mirror, revealing three different angles of her face and profile as she speaks. She smokes two cigarettes during the interview.

She speaks in Spanish, with English subtitles. She explains that she smokes Marlboro Reds because they were the first brand she ever tried and she never switched. She recalls how she started smoking at night to help fall asleep, and later, a way to cope with stress during work breaks. Over time, she became accustomed to being “high” on nicotine, as if it became her constant state.

Scene 3 – Conversation with Sofía

On a summer terrace, Yurina and Sofía talk about their shared habit, each smoking two cigarettes during the exchange.

Does Sofía’s appearance steal the show? Her smoking pace adds intensity to the conversation, with talking exhales, extremely long holds, and natural double drags.
